  • SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

  • Beyond the meetings and exchanges that will take place during the conferences and sessions of this centennial, this event will also be an opportunity for participants to discover or rediscover Paris through a field practice at various scales and temporalities. The aim will be to empirically grasp the space in order to understand some of its main issues.

These activities will be organized according to three scales:

    - "Lights on the city", corresponds to the scale of the Parisian agglomeration: several events will allow to apprehend this space according to different modalities and perspectives, but also with different rhythms. This axis corresponds to the organization of short and free scientific excursions on various themes: "the Paris of the elites", "spaces of social contestation", "major urban projects", "Saint-Denis, a peripheral Olympic space?

    - The "Grand Paris" program is based on Paris as a national capital, with the objective of exploring other cities that are historically strongly connected to the capital and to understand the issues at stake in terms of regional planning. These will be paid daily scientific excursions, on specific themes, to Poitiers, Fontainebleau, Versailles and elsewhere...

    - "Paris Urbi et Orbi" places Paris in the world through telecommunications technologies. Faced with a health context that forces us to rethink physical mobility, the goal will be to help those who could not travel to participate remotely in this event, through digital devices: podcasts, virtual excursions or geographic cafes
