Documentary festival

During the IGU Congress in Paris from July 18 to 21 (18, 19, 20 and 21 from 7 to 9 pm), film and documentary screenings by geographers will be offered every evening at the Amphitheatre of the Geographical Society, 184 boulevard St Germain, 75006 Paris.
Program
Monday, July 18: Sound documentaries and teaching
Listening to sound documentaries made by students from the universities of Montreal and Geneva and discussion with their supervisors, Violaine Jolivet and Karine Duplan (and Juliet Fall), discussion led by Alex Mahoudeau and Camille Vergnaud.
Tuesday, July 19: Sound documentary making and engaged research
Listening to a sound documentary made by Charlotte Rouault, sociologist and independent journalist, entitled "Corps étrangers" (51 mn), on the management of migrants in Ventimiglia, and discussion in her presence led by Emma Peltier and Camille Gardesse.
Wednesday, July 20: Documentary filmmaking and teaching
Screening of 6 short films made by students in the geography programs of the universities of Bretagne-Occidentale, Bordeaux-Montaigne and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. The screenings will be followed by an exchange between the students, the instructors and the public.
Thursday, July 21: Documentary filmmaking and research
Screening of 6 short films made by 24 geographers during a summer school in the Dinard region (Brittany). Screening of "La clé des friches" (31 min), directed by Violaine Jolivet, Associate Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Montreal. The screenings will be followed by an exchange between the directors and the public.
