Since the outbreak of the Covid in 2020, the pandemic has brought a huge impact on all industries, especially the tourism industry, which relies on a large flow of people. Travel restrictions issued in response to the pandemic have also varied around the world. China was the first country to implement travel restrictions in the early days of the pandemic, and it may now be one of the last countries to relax such restrictions. Many pieces of research on China's tourism industry foresees that China's tourism industry will not be able to quickly return to the same levels under the control of the impact of the pandemic with the characteristics of travel restrictions in the future.
Based on the uncertainty of this prospect, especially the special situation of China's implementation of strict pandemic prevention restrictions, this study will use a semi-structured interview method through qualitative research to interview company employees and freelancers in China's tourism industry to study China in the post-pandemic era. This study will investigate the changes in residents' willingness and attitude to travel, and the impact of the pandemic on Chinese tourists' behavior, which will provide some preliminary reference suggestions for the changes in the Chinese outbound tourism market after the pandemic.
