Cities of the third world are growing exponentially both spatially and demographically. Delhi, the capital of India is the leading choice of migrants, experiencing the same phenomenon resulting in the shift of rural poverty eventually increasing the incidence of malnutrition. Urban agriculture fosters multiple ecosystem facilities such as supplying fresh and healthy food, waste management, mitigating climate change etc. The research aims to highlight the role of urban agriculture for better food supply in the Delhi-Central National Capital Region (CNCR). The data has been procured from primary and secondary sources. The research is based on primary sources which highlight the contribution of institutional areas in food production. It has been found that urban agriculture is gaining momentum in Delhi and its suburbs, providing nutritious food to the residents. Moreover, it has immense potentials if given a policy directive; in achieving various Sustainable Development Goals.
