A “citizen” becoming “migrant” is a true situation in the Indian village. The desire to be strong enough to fulfill the family need as earning person local people took the decision to be migrant. Their social network helps them to setup them in the new place. They faced a lot of issues at the place of migration regarding skillset, job issues, education, salary, condition of work, food, shelter, etc. It is very hard for them to manage life at the place of employment. Social, cultural, infrastructural and pattern of life actually takes time to adjust. Unemployment at the village, irregular salary, social and cultural constraints, field jobs, and other situations at their places of living are motivating factors to migrate for the earnings. Social connections acts as a catalyst to decide the place of migration, the job at the place of migration, and the living and food arrangements of new migrants. The experience of people regarding the place, job, food, and many different issues was discussed in this paper. Migration and the journey towards urbanization are significant issues for the society in India. The result signifies how migration is closely associated with the development and cultural ethics of family. Fulfilling the desire of the family is important than the desire of “migrant”. A story of the common man towards migrant labor.
