We travel to work, study, shop, be on time for an appointment, and when we have time, we also travel for our pleasures, to go out, leave, and discover.
To meet this need for mobility, in town or elsewhere, several modes of transport are used: taxi, public transport, tram or on foot. The choice of transport mode is often constrained by the accessibility of the latter, its price, its quality and the regularity of the service it offers.
The growing development of urban traffic in the city of Oran has given priority to public transport.
The completed project of the Oran tramway, the new bus stations for urban and interurban transport as well as the redesign of the urban transport network, have involved the urban transport policy of moving towards a multimodal public transport network in the Oran city.
The work presented is essentially devoted to the realization of a multimodal transport GIS dedicated to the analysis of the multimodal transport network in terms of transport supply and demand in the oran city, and the realization of a set of road calculation applications, which can be beneficial to several economic and social sectors.
