The consequences of environmental changes on human mobility are major challenges of global warming. Sub-Saharan Africa is in the front line due to difficult environmental conditions and limited financial means to cope with them. Launched in 2020, the PEEMPASS project aims to better understand environment-mobility interactions by simultaneously studying objective environmental and climatic data, the perception of their evolution by populations and the resulting adaptation strategies. We'll present and discuss the first quantitative results of survey resarch in Northern Senegal.
