Climate change and climate induced disasters have direct and indirect impact on the phsical, mental and reporductive health of people living along the coastal districts of Bangladesh. The study was conducted in Khulna and Satkhira districts of bangladesh to understand the current scenario of climate change, vulnerability imposed by climate induced disasters and its impact on human health through a participatory and multi-disciplinary approach of data collection and analysis including analysis of long term climatic data, disaster information to show the trends of climate change and disaster trends in the study area, field data collection and analysis through Household questionnaire survey, focus group discussion, Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment, Natural and social asset asseemnt and Key informants interview. The study reveals that water, agriculture, health, land, livelihood, society and gender disparities all are the affected by climate change and climate induced disaster. Climate induced slow onset and sudden disasters are increasing disability because of reproductive health disturbance, mental disorder and also increasing physical illness in terrms of infectious disesase diversity. There are several unexpected problem related to reproductive health are identified which Early or delayed menarche, Infertility or compromised fertility (pregnancy), recurrent pregnancy loss, Inability to carry baby to term, pregnancy compromise, birth defects, congenital abnormalities, and low birth weight babies, Premature delivery, Leucorrhea, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), Urinary tract infection (UTI), Abdominal Discomfort, Obese, Disabled child birth, Sexual uninteresting (Sexual problem) are major reproductive health problem induced by climate induced disasters especially salinity in the locality.
